The "Fore Christ" Golf Tournament was held August 17 at Chapel
Hill Golf Course, Mt. Vernon.
it was our biggest ever, with 11 foursomes
and raising more than $1,100 dollars for the Health Ministry of the East
Lake Victoria Diocese of Tanzania. A wide variety of golfers took part
in the "Texas Rattlesnake Scramble" that included a piece of
string for each foursome. More than 50 prizes were "raffled"
through the generous donation of Carriers, Fratello's Restaurant, Gillette's,
Hoggy's Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse, Reciprocal Alliance Group, and
others. There was tie for first place, though the tie was broken by which
team had the most string left (fraction of inches), and the traveling
trophy will include both names.
The two winning teams were Dave Agner, Dave Neiger, Dan Pierce, and Paul
Westrick
and (string champions) Jim Kensinger, John Kuenzli, Tim Kuenzli, and Jim
Wilson.
