Welcome to website version 3.0 -- Our mission of reaching people with the love of Jesus Christ extends to the Internet too. With that in mind, the goal of this website is to facilitate outreach by utilizing the most up-to-date technology available, inviting people into a Christ-centered community.
As version 3.0 is refined in the summer of 2009, planning for the future of the website will become a formalized ministry at Lord of Life. A variety of gifts will be needed to make this ministry a success, namely people with an understanding of the culture of our congregation and gifts of communication to shape an online picture of Lord of Life that expresses our community. Maybe this means you are a writer, photographer, or graphic designer... or, yes, even the tech geek who gets a thrill out of debugging PHP code. If you are interested in joining this ministry, contact John Kalis |

One of the core values of Lord of Life Church is that prayer is necessary for our relationship with God, one another, and the world. Research has shown that the concept of prayer can be introduced and understood by children as young as age two. Therefore, we are hosting our second annual Children’s Prayer Workshop on Saturday, August 29 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. While the workshop is designed for children ages 2-3, it is open to any young child who would feel comfortable attending.

The next series begins Sunday, September 13. It's our membership course... but it's really about discovery; exploring why this church exists and whether God is calling you to join us on the journey of discipleship! The course is led by a team of ministry leaders at Lord of Life and is designed around dialogue. No commitment or knowledge is necessary to attend.

On the 3rd Thursday of each month, Lord of Life travels to First English Lutheran Church, 1015 E. Main St., to share food and fellowship with our hungry brothers and sisters in Christ. Neighborhood seniors and families (with many little children) join us for a home-cooked meal, activities for the children, prayer, and conversation.
We prepare and serve food on odd-numbered months. On even-numbered months, we plan the activities for adults and children.
Contact Sherry Hemmingsen or Joel Frederick to offer help. |
