Sometimes serving the world looks like a mission trip to Mississippi.  Sometimes it looks like Easter eggs and a hundred smiling children.

Stop By

A meaningful worship experience in community that helps you grow closer to God...

An approach to faith that's more complex than simple black-and-white rules...

A desire to grow in discipleship together, knowing that no one has all the answers, but everyone has wisdom...

These are just a few of the things you will find when you worship Jesus Christ at Lord of Life.

Worship

It’s a place of refuge, worship, and community.

We share our joys and sorrows with each other and cast our burdens onto God.

From here we’re sent out to serve the in world, in the name of Jesus.

Teens

mRoad is NOT about everybody believing all the same things.  It's not about shallow happy clappy Jesus songs.

It's about the journey of our real lives.  Real life is hard.  It's full of ups and downs.  It's our journey... Our road...

Let's make the most of it

God is along for the ride with us!

Music

Music is one of those amazing gifts given to us by God.  It connects us emotionally in a way almost nothing else can.

At Lord of Life, we know that EVERYONE has musical gifts (even if that gift is sometimes the ability to appreciate what others have shared).

Lord of Life Website 3.0

A Ministry of the Congregation

Welcome to website version 3.0 -- Our mission of reaching people with the love of Jesus Christ extends to the Internet too. With that in mind, the goal of this website is to facilitate outreach by utilizing the most up-to-date technology available, inviting people into a Christ-centered community.

As version 3.0 is refined in the summer of 2009, planning for the future of the website will become a formalized ministry at Lord of Life.  A variety of gifts will be needed to make this ministry a success, namely people with an understanding of the culture of our congregation and gifts of communication to shape an online picture of Lord of Life that expresses our community. Maybe this means you are a writer, photographer, or graphic designer... or, yes, even the tech geek who gets a thrill out of debugging PHP code.  If you are interested in joining this ministry, contact John Kalis

Children's Prayer Workshop
One of the core values of Lord of Life Church is that prayer is necessary for our relationship with God, one another, and the world.  Research has shown that the concept of prayer can be introduced and understood by children as young as age two. Therefore, we are hosting our second annual Children’s Prayer Workshop on Saturday, August 29 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. While the workshop is designed for children ages 2-3, it is open to any young child who would feel comfortable attending.

Exploring Lord of Life
exploring_lolThe next series begins Sunday, September 13.  It's our membership course... but it's really about discovery; exploring why this church exists and whether God is calling you to join us on the journey of discipleship!  The course is led by a team of ministry leaders at Lord of Life and is designed around dialogue.  No commitment or knowledge is necessary to attend.

Extending the Table of Grace
On the 3rd Thursday of each month, Lord of Life travels to First English Lutheran Church, 1015 E. Main St., to share food and fellowship with our hungry brothers and sisters in Christ.  Neighborhood seniors and families (with many little children) join us for a home-cooked meal, activities for the children, prayer, and conversation.

We prepare and serve food on odd-numbered months.  On even-numbered months, we plan the activities for adults and children.

What's Up with the Login Box?

Good catch.  You found the new Congregational Member Login box.  Here's the deal: members of the congregation can be issued a personalized username and password to access the Digital Narthex section of the website.  Digital Narthex contains information of interest to congregational members, including an online member directory.  And that's not all.  If you are a leader of a ministry, check back later in 2009 to learn how Digital Narthex will help you too.
